Bouquet Colors
Color will be one of the most important decisions of the overall mood or impression of your wedding.Your dress may be white or ivory but the choice of colors that you can carry are as varied as the brides themselves. Since everyone has favorite colors, it is generally easier to make a bouquet using preferred hues. This is your day set the tone that is visually pleasing to you and your guests.
Many times it will start with the bridesmaids dresses. Think of the overall impression of them standing up there with you. What do you see as a color that invites a positive emotional response from you? Once you come up with a color theme this will be the thread that runs throughout your event beginning to end to tie it all together to make it cohesive. I dont mean that everything has to be matchy matchy, twins. You don't want that, that would be boring, but they can be close cousins.
The specific hue or shade of a pigment can set the mood of an event and create emotional impressions. The simplest way to classify them according to their emotional effect is to divide them up into two groups- warm and cool
Warm Colors - are red, orange, yellow, and various colors containing these three hues predominantly. They are termed warm because of their association with warm and hot things like the sun, heat, and fire. These are active, cheery colors generally evoking warm and happy feelings. Warm color flowers tend to look nearer, larger and can be seen well from a distance.

Cool Colors- are blue, green, violet, and colors saturated with these three hues. They are called cool because of their association with cool things like grass, water, and ice. These colors are generally restful, peaceful, and soothing. Objects and flowers in the cool colors recede and tend to move away from the viewer so they look smaller than they actually are. Since they fade into the background, cool colors often cannot be seen from a distance.
Blend them. A blending of warm and cool colors can create a visual excitement because of the balance of advancing and receding qualities therefore using cool and warm together adds depth and dimension to the bouquet making it more visually appealing. In addition to being warm or cool or both, color also has other characteristics that invite varied emotional responses. Colors have various emotional association and they vary from one society or culture to another.
